Assomac Machines Ltd produces and supplies Cold Rolling Mill [Plain or Ribbed Wire]. The Cold Rolling Mill features concrete and approximately round wires, which has deformed lines ribs on surface to provide good mechanical anchorage. Various designs of deformations are produced in these wires such as in hot rolled wire rod. The Cold Rolling Mill [Plain or Ribbed Wire] plant consists of a hydraulically operated pay-off stand. The plant also includes wire drawing block to give the wire a clean bright finish and an on line rolling ribbing cassette that runs at a speed of 4 to 12 meters per second. The 4 to 12 meters per second speed helps in creating the deformed strips on the wire in the Cold Rolling Mill. The finished wire is then placed on heavy duty spooling machine. When the required weight or length of the ribbed wire is achieved, the spooling machine stops and the operator is able to feed strapping through the slots provided and tension it with the conventional equipment. In the Cold Rolling Mill [Plain or Ribbed Wire] an output of up to 5 tons per hour can be achieved with a single operator and one handling person. This finished product can be made into welded wire mesh, which can be used in straightening and for welded wire mesh. The Cold Rolling Mill machine can produce both plain as well as ribbed bars by application of rollers and dies.
